Redstate's Little Ad Problem? With Poll!

Fri Aug 08, 2008 at 10:15:42 AM PDT

Although I rarely venture over to Redstate, I recently went over to find one of those gobsmacking Obama is the AntiChrist mugs and/or T-shirts.

Aside from featuring a writing style which reminded me of what 12 year old boys consider to be hysterically funny (not), what actually struck me most about Redstate was that there were two empty ad spots on the front page. They labeled themselves as "Premium ad spot on Redstate" and "Regular ad spot on Redstate."

World's largest nuclear plant unsafe to restart.

Wed Aug 22, 2007 at 12:25:28 PM PDT

Bloomberg reports that a group of  top scientists has determined Japan's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power station is unsafe either to run or to restart, and "should be shut down permanently". After the plant sustained damage in a magnitude 6.6 earthquake last month, a group was formed to ascertain the best course of action.

``It will be impossible to prove empirically that all of the plant's damage has been repaired,'' the group, headed by Kobe University Professor of Seismology Katsuhiko Ishibashi and Hiromitsu Ino, an emeritus professor of metallurgy at Tokyo University, said in a statement yesterday.

Gonzalez: Fired Attys "Lost my confidence"

Wed Mar 07, 2007 at 09:28:11 AM PDT

Alberto Gonzales is at it again, with a short opinion piece in USA Today: They lost my confidence.  In it, he attempts to justify the mass firings of U.S. attorneys, with  much spin, little factual content:

To be clear, it was for reasons related to policy, priorities and management - what have been referred to broadly as "performance-related" reasons - that seven U.S. attorneys were asked to resign last December.

Yes, sure....

Follow me  below the fold for more exciting news from Mr. Gonzales!

My Sunday Paper Trashes Neocons: How's Yours? With Poll.

Sun Aug 27, 2006 at 11:51:01 AM PDT

Today is different. Today I begin to believe that change is coming. Or that change might actually be here.

I read the letters to the editor in my local paper, the Contra Costa Times every day. Maybe to torture myself, but also to check what my neighbors are thinking; I already know what I think.

So yeah, I live in a liberal area. But the troglodytes among us can be counted on to write in their talking points on a daily basis.

The extended Sunday letters section had not one word defending Bushco. Oodles of letters, tons of passion, lots of eloquence: and all trashing the Republican agenda. Am I  suddenly surrounded by a neighborhood of Kossacks? Follow me......
